Krishna is a dialogue drama where classical, folk and film dance has been put together for the production. It’s an initiative to spread the preaching of Lord Krishna. It is also said that ‘Krishna‘ will touch upon some of the lesser known stories from the Mahabharata.

A lot of celebs have lent their voice to this dialogue drama including Surya. Shabana Azmi as Gandhari, Konkona Sen as Radha and Nandita Das as Draupadi.

Sound design is by Resul Pookutty, art is by Rajeevan whereas the choreography and direction is by Shobana. Voices of Prabhu for Bheeman, Radhika for Devaki whilst Milind Soman for Duryodhan.

This dialogue drama was staged on Janmashtami that is to say, on August 22nd 2011.
